Alan Coffman, DVM
Dr. Alan Coffman grew up in Bartlesville, OK, a small oil and
ranching community 40 miles north of Tulsa
where he graduated from Bartlesville High School in 1992.
He served a two year mission in Fresno, CA, for the Church of Jesus
Christ of the Latter Day Saints. He graduated from Brigham Young
University with a degree in Animal Science and minor
in Zoology in 1998. Dr. Coffman received his Doctor
of Veterinary Medicine degree at Oklahoma State University in
2003. He and his wife, Amy, from Allen Tx, have been married
since 1996 and have a 11 year old son named Samuel and
a 7 year old son named Nathan. They currently have 3
dogs, Pollywog(Pug), Bella (Pug), and Shelby (Yorkie), 2
guineapigs, a turtle, a hedgehog, and several fish. |

J. Brian Shiplov, DVM
Dr. Brian Shiplov graduated from Louisiana State
University school of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. He joined
Allen Veterinary Hospital in the fall of 2007 after moving to Texas
from Richmond, Virginia where he first worked out of vet
school. Dr. Shiplov is originally from Shreveport, LA where
he attended Louisiana Tech University for his undergraduate
degree. He was also a member of the Louisiana Army Nationl
Gaurd. Dr. Shiplov lives in McKinney with his wife Kelly, who
is also a veterinarian in Plano. He and his wife
have two kids, Katie and Ben. They have two dogs
Winston and Reba, and a cat named Lola. Dr. Shiplov
enjoys clinical pathology and surgery best when it comes to
veterinary medicine. In his spare time he enjoys music,
playing guitar, and most of all spending time
with his family.

Chelsea McAnally, DVM
Dr. McAnally Joined Allen Veterinary Hospital in November
2011. "Dr. Mac", gradaduated from Ross University in
2009. Her clinical year was spent at Texas A&M. Dr.
McAnally is from Dallas, Tx. Her specialty is canine and
feline internal medicine. In her free time she enjoys
spending time with her friends and family. She has three cats
(Diva Diamonds, Metro, and Vitton Ferragomo), three rats (Dior
Milano, Gabbana Choo, and Mascera Botique), and one ferret (Gucci
Couture).

Michael Overton, DVM
Dr. Overton is from Paint Creek, Texas, a small farming community
north of Abilene. He graduated from Texas A&M University in
1966 with a degree in physical education, and spent four years as
an Army aviator, serving in Vietnam. Afterwards, he decided to
return to school to pursue his doctorate in veterinary medicine and
graduated from Texas A&M University a second time in 1977. He
has been in practice in Allen since 1978 and opened Allen
Veterinary Hospital in 1986. He and his wife, Linda, have been
married since 1968. They have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two
grandchildren. At this time they have two dogs and a bird, though
others come and go. Dr. Overton enjoys all animals and the people
who love them. |

Lea Marlborough, Office Manager
Lea grew up in Tennessee. She joined the staff of Allen
Veterinary Hospital in 1988. She has two awesome kids. Her daughter
Megan is 17 and her son Matthew is 10. She loves to play guitar and
has been playing at her church for about 11 years. She also loves
going to her kids sporting events. Lea has two chihuahuas named
Pico and Chili. Being asked what she liked about her job Lea said,
"Most of all I love the people I have worked for and worked with
over the years. They are a very special group, much like family. I
certainly have enjoyed getting to know some of the clients over the
years. I also love that there is always something interesting going
on, and that we truly help alot of animals."

Tyler Ivie, Head Technician, Hospital Administrator
Tyler started working at the Hospital in 2006. He was born
and raised in Arco, Idaho. He went on a two
year mission to Brisbane, Australia for the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He moved to Texas to
be with his smokin-hot wife Tammy. He is continuing his
education at Collin County Community College. Tyler and
Tammy have a Golden-Lab named Guss that gets to come to work
almost every day and a 3 legged dog named Bandit. Tyler lives
here in Allen. His true loves involve his wife first and
foremost then Boise St. football, Fly fishing, hunting, playing all
sports, and traveling the world. He likes the busy atmosphere
that Allen Veterinary Hospital provides and believes that there is
good medicine practiced here.

Zac Thomas, Technician
Where do we begin with Zac...He is really from Lauisiana but he
would tell you Scranton, PA. He would also say that he
has been here for FOREVER but if forever is 14 years then he
has lived for two forevers! He should try
out for Jeopardy as he knows freakishly weird
stuff. His favorite color is green because he is
enviromentaly sound. Given the choice of CoCo Puffs or Reeses
Puffs he would choose Reeses Puffs, but neither are his
favorites. He does have a cat named Highway and two
dogs Macy and Marlin. Zac is currently going
paramedic school.

Doug Ketcham, Technician
Doug started working at the clinic in January, 2001. A native
of Texas, Doug is a graduate of Allen High School. He lives
here in Allen with his girl friend Laura. They have two dogs
Mongo the bull dog and Bam the rat terrier, Sam the cat and
Diggy Smalls the fish. Doug likes playing poker, hunting,
fishing, off-roading, and hanging out with friends. Doug
enjoys the oppotunity to save the lives of our furry little friends
here at Allen Veterinary Hospital.

Chris Tancredi, Techincian
Chris has worked at the clinic since 2007. A native of Plano, Chris
is a high school graduate who enjoys all sports, particularly
fishing, sky-diving, and snake rangling. He has two crazy dogs and
a fish. Chris enjoys the chalenge of helping a sick animal get
better, and he finds his work at the clinic fun and
interesting. |

John Warren, Technician
John Joined the staff in 2010. He has the pleasure of
working with his wife Mona. He has four children (Jonathan,
Meagan, Jaxson, and McKenzie). Jimmy is their happy puppy
dog. John is from Garland, Tx. His life revolves around
his young loving family.

Mona Warren, Receptionist
Mona has worked at the clinic since September, 2009. A native of
Plano, Mona and her husband, John, have four beautiful
children and live in McKinney. She loves spending time with her
family as well as hanging out with friends. They have a dog
named Jimmy. Mona loves the people she works
with.

Chris Hamze, Receptionist
Chris Joined the AVH family in August of 2011. She grew up
in "FREEZING" Minnesota but now lives here in Allen with her family
and two dogs (Ashton & Oliver). She says "I love that I
love coming to work every day."

Brooke Overton, Receptionist
Brooke is Dr. Overton's daughter. She spent three years at Texas
A&M before choosing cosmetology as a career. Brooke just
returned to Texas after living several years in Colorado,
and she has decided to go back to school to finish her degree.
Brooke has been working at the clinic since August, 2009. Although
she has been around animals all of her life, this is her first time
to work at the clinic, and she enjoys the fast pace and the people.
Brooke and her family have three dogs, two cats, and a bird. In her
leisure time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family,
including her sister Paige, neice Maggie and nephew
Cooper, in whom she adores.

Kenia Garcia, Ceritified Vet Assistant/Receptionist
Kenia has been working here for 2 years now. She is a
graduate from Allen High School and is now attending Collin County
Community College. She is originally from L.A. California but
loves the New York Yankees (we try not to hold that against her).
She loves to read and write, swing at the park, swim and blow
bubbles! She has one dog who she thinks looks like
bambi. She is a great employee who really loves the
animals.

Helen Cano, Kennel Staff
Helen has worked at the clinic since August, 2009. Originally
from El Paso, she moved to California when she was two years old,
and came to Dallas in 1994. She has always loved animals, and cares
for other people's dogs and cats when they are out of town. Helen
comes from a large family of eleven children. She has
three daughters, four grandsons, and 3 granddaughters and
enjoys church worship in her leisure time. She also has 2 cats and
6 dogs! She loves working with all of the animals
and people at the clinic.

Brice Babinec, Technician
Brice joined us in October 2011. Brice grew up in
Kalamazoo, Michigan. He moved down here with his parents and
brother. He loves to "pump" iron, go for long walks on Allen,
Texas beaches, and playing games. Brice has two Austalian
Shepards, Bart and Jake. He is currently attending Collin
County Community College. He enjoys being around the
animals and looking after them.

David Taylor Heidenreich, Kennel Staff
Taylor as we call him has been here since October of 2011.
He is lives here in Allen with his mom and dad, 3 sisters, and 1
brother. Taylor is a Junior at Allen High School. He
loves to play basketball in his spare time. He enjoys being
able to interact with all of the different animals, and the fact
that he has a hand in taking care of them. He and his family
have a two year old cockapoo.

Tammy Haws, Office Supply Specialist
Tammy was born in Texas and lives here in Allen with her husband
Tyler. She has a dog named Guss. Most of all she loves
to exercise and stay in shape, running marathons are a great way to
challenge her. The Boston marathon is her favorite so
far. She works full time at Childrens Hospital in Dallas as a
Surgical Technician. She gathers all our clinic supplies for
us, we would be less of a Hospital with out the vienna sausages and
smell good sprays!
