Michael
Overton, DVM
Dr. Overton is from Paint Creek, Texas, a small farming
community north of Abilene. He graduated from Texas A&M University
in 1966 with a degree in physical education, and spent four years
as an Army aviator, serving in Vietnam. Afterwards, he decided to
return to school to pursue his doctorate in veterinary medicine and
graduated from Texas A&M University a second time in 1977. He
has been in practice in Allen since 1978 and opened Allen Veterinary
Hospital in 1986. He and his wife, Linda, have been married since 1968.
They have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandsons.
At this time they have two dogs and a bird, though others come and go.
Dr. Overton enjoys all animals and the people who love them. |

Alan Coffman, DVM
Dr. Coffman joined the staff of Allen Veterinary Hosptial in 2003.
He grew up in Bartlesville, OK, where he graduated from Bartlesville High
School in 1992. He served a two year mission in Fresno, CA, for the
Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. He graduated from
Brigham Young University with a degree in Animal Science in 1998, and
received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of
Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University in 2003. He and his
wife, Amy, have been married since 1996 and have a three year old son
named Samuel. The Coffmans enjoy spending time with Sam, and they are
looking forward to the birth of their second child in August. At this
time they have two dogs, Pollywog and Ladybug. |

Lea
Marlborough, Office Manager
Lea grew up in Tennessee. She joined the staff of Allen
Veterinary Hospital in 1988. Lea and her husband, Ed, have been married since 1984.
They have two children, Megan and Matthew. They currently have one dog. |

Linda
Overton, Clinic Bookkeeper
This is Dr. Overton's wife. She is not always seen at the clinic,
because she does a lot of her work at home. She has been married to
Dr. Overton since 1968, and they have two daughters, a son-in-law,
and two adorable grandsons. They are expecting a granddaughter in September.

Kathie
Evans, Receptionist
Kathie grew up in Dallas and graduated from W.W. Samuel High School.
She attended Grayson County Community College and Collin County Community
College. She has three children and several grandchildren, along with
three cats, two dogs, and a bird. Kathie loves animals, gardening,
people, and pets.

Janice Mauldin, Receptionist
Janice has worked at Allen Veterinary Hospital
since the summer of 2006. She has three children, Jessica, Devon, and
William. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching kareoke
with her friends. Janice has two dogs, two cats, and a sugar glider at
home. She enjoys the people that she works with, as well as working with
the many animals at the clinic.

Victoria Hawkins, Receptionist
Victoria has worked at the clinic since June,
2006. Originally from Arkansas, Victoria lives with her husband, Pete,
and their four daughters. She has another baby on the way. Victoria
enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies, and listening
to her husband's band. The family has six dogs, a snake, and an African
bullfrog. Victoria likes working with her coworkers at the clinic and
seeing the many varieties of animals that come in. She also enjoys being
able to help the clients.

Ellen
Thomas, Technician
Ellen
Thomas has worked at the clinic since 1995, starting out as a kennel
worker and then working as a receptionist and, later, technician.
She is a recent graduate of Texas A&M Galveston, with a degree
in Maritime Administration. Ellen has four cats: Miles, Bud, Davis
and Mr. Mau, all of whom were rescue kittens from the clinic. |

Doug Ketcham, Technician
Doug worked at the clinic in the kennel for five years before
recently returning as a technician. A native Texas, Doug is a graduate
of Allen High School. He lives with his parents and two younger sisters
in Allen. In his spare time Doug enjoys watching TV and movies, playing
poker, hunting, fishing, and off-roading. He has four cats at home. His
favorite, Chub Chub, was adopted from the clinic. Doug likes the people
and the animals that he works with here. |

Michael Cartwright, Technician
Michael has worked at the clinic as a technician since
January, 2006. He is from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and plans to return in the
fall to begin a pre-vet program there. His family includes his parents
and two sisters, and he has two Walker coon dogs, Roofus and Roxanne. He
spends his leisure time with his girlfriend, and he likes to play the
drums. Michael enjoys working with the staff, learning from the doctors,
and getting to know the animals at the clinic. |

Celeste McQuiddy, Technician
Celeste has worked at Allen Vet. Hospital since
July, 2006. Originally from Angel Fire, New Mexico, she previously
worked at the Stray Hearts Animal Shelter in Taos, New Mexico. She and
her husband, Nick, have two dogs and two cats. Nick is a chef, and they
both enjoy travelling. Celeste enjoys working at the clinic where she
can help animals who cannot tell us what is wrong.

Sonya Renae Mitchell, Technician
Sonya has worked at the clinic since
November, 2006. She grew up in east Texas and she has been working in
the veterinary field since 1998. The eldest of five children, Sonya's
family still lives in east Texas and the Dallas area. She and her
roomate have three dogs. When she is not working she enjoys spending
time with her friends, playing with her dogs, and watching TV and movies.
Sonya enjoys the family feeling at the clinic, and she finds the work,
the clients and their pets very interesting.

Tyler Ivie, Technician
Tyler began working at Allen Vet. Hospital in March,
2007. He is a country boy from Idaho who is currently pursuing his
education in veterinary medicine. Tyler and his wife, Tammy, have a ten
year old pug. In his leisure time he enjoys sports, hunting, and
fishing, as well as being with his wife. Tyler enjoys the variety of
work at the clinic and the friendly staff. He also likes communicating
with the clients about their pets.

Cathy Tol, Receptionist
Cathy has worked at the clinic as a receptionist since April, 2004.
Originally from Sherman, she attended Grayson County Community College.
Cathy and her husband, Ron, have two teenaged sons, as well as four dogs
and three cats. Besides caring for her family and pets, Cathy likes to
go boating, shopping, and working in her yard. She loves working at the
clinic because it is never boring and there is always something exciting
going on. She enjoys working with the doctors and staff, and she
continues to learn new things.

Kelli Kerutis, Receptionist
Kelli has worked part time as a receptionist since August, 2004.
Originally from Liberty, Texas, Kelli is a registered medical assistant
who decided to work with animals instead of people. She and her husband
have two daughters and three grandchildren, as well as four dogs and two
abandoned cats. She loves seeing the many kinds of animals that come
into the clinic. In her leisure time Kelli enjoys caring for her family
and pets, riding horses, water skiing, snow skiing, and gardening.

Morgan Polcer, Receptionist
Morgan has been working at the clinic since
January, 2007. While her husband is serving in Iraq, Morgan and her
daughter Emma are living with her mother. They have six dogs at home
Morgan is from Texas and has a background in massage therapy. She enjoys
everything about her job.

Katy Dickson, Receptionist
Katy began working at the clinic in May, 2007.
She is from Wylie, and has completed her first year of college. Katy has
previously worked in day care, and for an insurance agency. She lives
with her mother and two sisters, and they have three dogs, three cats,
and two fish. In her spare time, Katy likes to hang out with her friends
and her boyfriend. She enjoys working at the clinic because she loves
being around animals.

Andrew Veibell, Kennel Worker
Andrew has worked at the clinic since April,
2007. He is pictured here holding one of our clinic cats, One-Eyed Jack.
A high school graduate, Andrew lives with his family in Allen, and he
has two brothers and two sisters. He also has two dogs, two cats, and a
Siamese fighting fish. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys playing video
games, drawing Manga (Japanese coloring book style), and creative
writing. He likes taking care of the animals at the clinic.

Ashley Mangrum, Kennel Worker
Ashley, kennel worker, started working at the clinic in May,
2007. A recent high school graduate, Ashley likes to play soccer, swim,
and hang out with her friends. She lives with her parents and sister in
Allen. Ashley has a Shitzu puppy named Abby and a dove named Tan. She
enjoys working at the clinic, and walking the dogs, because of the animal
interaction.
