Michael Overton, DVM
Meet the friendly staff at Allen Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Overton is from Paint Creek, Texas, a small farming community north of Abilene. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1966 with a degree in physical education, and spent four years as an Army aviator, serving in Vietnam. Afterwards, he decided to return to school to pursue his doctorate in veterinary medicine and graduated from Texas A&M University a second time in 1977.
He has been in practice in Allen since 1978 and opened Allen Veterinary Hospital in 1986. He and his wife, Linda, have been married since 1968. They have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren. At this time they have two dogs and a bird, though others come and go. Dr. Overton enjoys all animals and the people who love them.
